Dear Parents,
Welcome to Troops 790, 792, and 655!
In 2012, Troops 790, 792, and 655 decided to come together to form one functional super-troop with three patrols.
We are excited to be associated with your son and want to make his experience in scouting as rewarding as possible. I hope the information on this site will help you prepare for this great scouting experience.
We love Scouting and we believe in the ideals of the Scout Oath, Law, Motto, and Slogan.
As Scoutmasters, it is our desire to give the young men an even better scouting experience than we enjoyed as young men. Your son will grow in moral strength and character; realizing his own personal qualities, values, and outlook. He will be given opportunities to participate in citizenship by learning his rights and obligations to the society in which he lives and the government that presides over that society. He will also be encouraged to develop physically, mentally, and emotionally. These aims of Scouting are accomplished through advancement, ideals, patrols, the outdoors, adult associations, personal growth, leadership development, and the uniform.
One of the principal methods of Scouting is an outdoor experience. We encourage the young men to plan and realize an overnight outdoor experience each month. Most of our outings require boys to carry their gear in a backpack. The holidays are a great time to start outfitting your scout with the uniform and camping gear he will need for these outings. Spread the word to friends and family and get your scout outfitted right.
Please look through this site carefully and share this information with your scout. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please contact any one of us.
We thank you for your personal involvement in this worthwhile endeavor.
Sincerely,
Josh Robinson
